3. Rotational motion - when an object turns about a fixed axis, it is called a rotational motion. ex- the earth turns round and round on it's axis like a spinning top.

4. Periodic motion - the motion which repeats itself after regular intervals of time, is called periodic motion. ex - the swinging of a pendulum clock.
