These are a types of plant reproduction, which were through artificial means, where the most common types includes cutting, layering, grafting, su--ering, and even tissue culture.

Cuttings: Here part of the plant is cut off from the parent plant and shoots with leaves attached are usually used. New roots and leaves will grow from the cutting. A growth promoter is used to help with the growth of the roots.

Layering: In layering a shoot of a parent plant is bent until it can be covered by soil but the tip of the shoot remains above ground. New roots and eventually a new plant will grow. These plants can then be separated.

Grafting: In grafting two plants are used to develop a new plant with combined traits from the two parent plants. here, the scion is the above ground part of one plant and is attached to the stock which is the rooted part of the second plant.

Sukering: Vegetative formation of a new stem and root system from an adventitious bud of a stem or root, either naturally or by human action. This is based on the ability of plants to regenerate tissues and parts.
