The three men planned to wake up early to start their journey but they overslept. Then Jerome complained that barometer was a useless instrument. According to Jerome, the weather prediction by a barometer was never correct. He shared a incident where he stayed inside because the forecast predicted there will be rain but it was not so he missed the beautiful day. Again another day he believed the forecast of sun but the rain came and they became wet.
