The device which convert the electrical energy into mechanical energy called electric motor.
Eg. Fan, Washing machine etc....
Construction....
• Armature coil
•Two magnet
•Axle
•Brushes ( B1 and B2)
•Split rings
• Battery
Working....
When the source battery is connected to the brushes the current while flow through the armature coil ABCD.
When the current flow in the armature coil ABCD then according to Fleming's left hand rule the force in AB is in the downward direction and similar in the armature coil CD, the force in the upward direction.
This is simultaneously phenomenon which rotate the motor ...
Hope this will help you....

An electric motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. It involves rotating coils of wire which are driven by the magnetic force and They only transform the electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Some feature of an electric motor:
a. An electric current in a magnetic field will create a force .
b. If the current carrying wires are bent into a loop when the two sides of the loop which are at right angles to the magnetic field will experience forces in opposite direction.
c. The pair of forces creates an influence to rotate the coil.
d. Particle motors have several loops on an armature to provide a more uniform torque.
