The interests of all sections of society to cultural and educational freedom and to their linguistics or language are protected. As a society full of diversity, we have an image of Indian culture. Our Constitution acknowledges that diversity is our strength in a country of such diversity.

And the right of minority groups to preserve their identity is one of the basic freedoms. Minorities are groups who have a common religion or language and live in a specific area of the country. The communities have a language, script , and culture of their own and they have the right to preserve and develop all these. Article 29 protects and preserves the script, language, and culture of the minorities.

Any minority, whether religion or language, can set up their own educational institutes They can thus preserve their own culture and develop it, as well. Article 28 protects a minority in the government's educational institutions from enforceable religious teachings ((such as dress code for specific prayers and all).

Thus, it is important to protect the language, culture and religion of minorities. This is important to discourage minorities from becoming marginalized or diminished by a majority rule. In Article 14  equality before the law regardless of ethnicity or caste is provided for and for protection against discrimination .
