The black soil has more proportion of iron, lime, calcium, potash, aluminum and magnesium carbonate. Black soil is made of metamorphic lavaic rocks. It is rich with nutrients, clayey and sticky. It has capacity to absorb moisture and retain the same for a long period of time. That is why black soil is very favourable to cotton crop which grows very well in black soil.
