1) In Awadh the landless extracted very high rent and variety of other ceases for the peasant.
2) The peasant also had to do 'begar' labour for the landlord and work on there farm without any remuneration.
3) There were no security of tenure and peasant were evicted, in order to deny any opportunity for then to develop the right over the land they cultivate.
