Explanation of old things in my house through internal and external analyses :
- Oldest clock: There is a large wall clock in my grandparents' house which is more than 100 years old. it has a pendulum in it. it strikes for the same number of times as the hour is.
- Oldest coin or paper money: My grandmother gave me 6 old copper coins which dated back to 1848. They were corroded and oxidized. since I have been collecting old and unique coins.
- my dad has one rupee of paper money preserved in his wallet.
- Oldest jewelry: My grandmother has jewelry that her mother-in-law gave to her. those were antiques crafted by our family jewelers during the time of my great grand father. This kind of jewelry is rarely found nowadays.
- Letters 5-10 years ago or oldest calendar: In my house, while cleaning for Dussehra I accidentally found a bunch of old letters which my uncle used to write when he was pursuing a Ph.D. in New Delhi.
