Toto, the red coloured monkey, can be termed as a wild pet. It had no such

quality of a pet animal like calmness, discipline, co-operative attitude

etc.

When narrator's grandfather locked Toto in the cupboard, it tore down all

clothes inside it and came out. This shows that Toto was clever.

When he was given shelter in the private zoo, he cried all night and did

not allow other animals to sleep. This shows he was not at all

co-operative.

When it went with Grandpa to the railway station, it peeped out of the bag

due to which Grandpa had to pay half the fare for Toto. This shows that he

was restless.

He threw plates at Grandma and made fun of her, which shows that Toto was
mischievous.
