Describe transistor with respect to its three terminals

The Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) is a current controlled valve. The 3 terminals are named base, collector and emitter. The current flowing through the base (IB) controls the current through the collector (IC). The Field Effect Transistor (FET) is a voltage controlled valve.
