Triple fusion is a process of fusion of three haploid nuclei. It takes place in the embryo sac. The pollen tube containing two male gametes enters into the ovule through the micropyle. Among two gametes, one of the gametes joins with the egg cells that result in the production of zygote, whereas another gamete with two polar nuclei produces a triploid primary endosperm nucleus.

Answer:

Fusion of male gamete with diploid secondary nucleus/central cell to form triploid primary endosperm nucleus is called as triple fusion as it involves three nuclei. It takes place in embryo sac during double fertilization. Two polar nuclei and male gamete are involved in it.
