Formation of urine in the organ named kidney is described below :

There are mainly three steps by which urine is formed. These are the following -

1. Filtration of blood

This step is the 1st one and is done by the glomerulus part of the nephron. Here, about 1100 to 1200 ml blood gets filtered in a minute.

2. Reabsorption

Different parts of the nephron reabsorbs the components that are essential like water, glucose, sodium, etc, into the vessels of blood.

3. Secretion

It is the process where the elements like amino acids, water, glucose, etc, moves into nephron from the blood.
