XYLEM
Xylem is a chief conducting tissue that contains sap(water and minerals).It's cell walls are lignified.The various components of xylem are tracheids and vessels.
PHLOEM
Phloem is a living conducting tissue.It conducts food.The various components of phloem are sieve tube,companion cells,phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres.Among these sieve tube,companion cells and phloem parenchyma are living.Phloem fibres is dead.
