There are five types of vegetation found in India they are
1. tropical evergren forest- they have heavy rainfall ,short dry season, tress grow up to 60 m.
2. tropical deciduous forest- most deciduous forest have 200-170cm rainfall,trees of this forest shed their leaves for about 6-8 weeks in dry season.
3. thorn forest and scrubs- they have less than 70cm rainfall,leaves are mostly thick and small.
4. montane forest- these forest grow in 1000-2000m altitude, contain coniferous trees, .
5. mangrove forest- they are found in areas influence by tides, their roots are submerged in water.
