1.Gliding joints: only allow sliding movement.

2.Hinge joints: allow flexion and extension in one plane.

3.Pivot joints: allow bone rotation about another bone.

4.Condyloid joints: perform flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction movements.

EXAMPLES

1.The zygapophyseal joints are the gliding joints that are located between the articular processes of the spine. These particular joints allow movement and stability in the spine

2.Hinge joints, like in your knee and elbow, enable movement similar to the opening and closing of a hinged door.

3.pivot joint in your neck that allows your head to rotate and the pivot joints between the radius and ulna that rotate your forearm.

4.Radiocarpal joint and Metacarpo-phalangeal joint are examples of condyloid joint.
