here is your answer mate

Ecosystems include both living and nonliving things. The nonliving part of an ecosystem includes water, rocks, light, air, and soil. The living part of an ecosystem includes plants and animals. The study of how living and nonliving things interact is called ecology.

To get perfectly microscopic, they don’t really interact. The electrons in their atoms sort of push against each other, giving the living things a sense of pressure within their nerve endings. To quote Mother Mother ‘nothing really touches man, it just kind of floats’. To get perfectly metaphysical, the interactions are what you make of them. The interaction between a deer and a speeding car can have drastic results. The interaction between a ‘non-believer’ and a rock can be drastic as well. The interaction between yourself and a mountain can be glorious.
