"The water cycle is one of the basic natural cycle of ecology. It is primary dependent on the sun's rays for operating. The sun rays hitting the water bodies evaporate water from the surface which rises up into the atmosphere before cooling down and forming clouds.

The various wind movements push these clouds to different areas, and when they have enough the water comes down to earth in the form of rain. The rainwater ultimately travels to the rivers through which it goes back to the water bodies, completing the cycle
