Answer:

My favorite festival is Holi. Holi is popularly known as the Indian "festival of spring", the "festival of colours", or the "festival of love". The festival signifies the arrival of spring, the end of winter, the blossoming of love, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. The Festival Of Colours is inspired by the traditional Hindu festival Holi, which usually takes place in March an marks the coming of spring. On this day, people throw powdered paint, known as gulal, at each other. For one day the distinctions between castes, religions and gender are set aside and everyone is equal.Though Holi is a Hindu religious festival, it has become popular among non-Hindus in many places in South Asia and even outside Asia, and has spread to many palaces in North America and Europe in the past few years as a celebration of love, joy and colors. It is hard to tell how many people celebrate Holi festival.
