William Adam was a missionary, minister and a Harvard Professor. Born in Scotland, he became a missionary in 1818 and travelled to Bengal. Initially his aim was to learn Bengali and translate the New Testament into Bengali.
William Adam (1 November 1796 – 19 February 1881) was a British Baptist minister, missionary, abolitionist and Harvard professor.
