Atmospheric pressure = air pressure.

1. Atmospheric pressure helps in boiling water or milk or other fluids.
When we heat liquids, the vapour pressure above the liquid reaches the atmospheric pressure, then liquid boils. Boiling food is essential for preparing our food.

2. Due to changes in Air pressures (a consequence of temperature changes) sea breeze and land breeze helps people during day and night.

3. Drinking beverages using a straw is possible due to reduction in air pressure in the straw. Vacuum is created as we inhale some air through mouth.

4. Air pressure helps in storing gases in cylinders and then releasing them in controlled way for cooking purposes or for other purposes.

5. Air pressure is used in cleaning inside of cars or homes using vacuum cleaners. Also air pumps are used to clean sofas or cushioned seats.

6. Air pressure (atmospheric) helps us to drink from bottles or cans. As liquid comes out, air goes in to fill the vacuum created. So fluid comes out. If there is no change in pressure of air, it does not happen.

7. Because of air pressure, transport industry in the world survives. Cars, cycles, motorbikes, autos, trucks , airplanes use air filled tyres. The pressure inside the tyres holds the weight of the vehicles.

8. During monsoon season the clouds with precipitation travel due to changes in pressure between above sea and above land.

 9. Clouds travel due to air pressure changes.

10. Birds are able to fly using their wings. Airplane too is able to maintain itself in midair due to air pressure below the wings.

11. Due to air pressure we are able to breathe in air comfortably. If external air pressure is too low, then it becomes difficult to breathe in.
