Paleobotany: study of fossilized plants and their remains.
Anatomy: study of internal,microscopic properties of tissues.
A Plant Taxonomist study and classify the plants. In this process he observes the common physical,ancestral and internal properties of several plants and classify according to similarities and differences among them.
Hence morphology,paleobotany and anatomy are key tools for a taxonomist.
