Answer:
Holi is the festival for which I waited desperately.
Explanation:
It is the festival of colours and one of the important festivals in India . Holi is celebrated each year with zeal and enthusiasm. Holi is about celebrating happiness with friends and family. People forget their troubles and indulge in this festival to celebrate brotherhood.Holi is called the festival of colours because people play with colours and apply them to each others faces to get coloured in the essence of festival.
The Hindus believe that there was a devil King named Hiranyakshyap long ago . He had a son named Prahlad and a sister named Holika . It is believed that he had blessings of Lord Brahma and the blessing was that no one could kill him not even with any weapon. This blessing don't into a curse for him as he became arrogant.
He ordered his Kingdom to start worshipping him instead of God. Following this, all the people began worshipping him except his son Prahlad. he refused to worship His father as he was a true believer of Lord Vishnu. The devil King failed to deviate his son's devotion to God and decided to kill him by burning him alive . King's sister , Holika had a God gifted bone that she would not be burnt in the Fire . She sat with Prahlad in the fire but got burnt instead. The Supreme God defeated the evil.
Though this is a festival of Brotherhood and Unity it has some disadvantages too. Some ill-minded people take this day as a chance to take revenge . They use dirty mud water. This leads to unnecessary enmity and spoils the charm of the festival . People must understand that this festival is celebrated to bring people together to be happy . They must take care not to indulge in bad practices and make it one of the best festival .
