I tried as hard as I could but the fishing rod kept bending down. So I asked my friend to help me pull the thing that is so heavy to be pulled alone.

He agreed and together we did our best to pull out the heavy thing out of the lake. It was a strange, black thing that we have never seen or heard of. It did not look like a fish or a turtle. It was like a black ball that was made of a cloth. But it was not a piece of cloth at all.

We became afraid and ran to call for help. My friend managed to gather our other friends and together we went near the lake again. What we found out was astonishing. It was a ball of many plastic bags wrapped with a wire. There was nothing to be afraid of but it was sad to find a plastic ball in a lake where it should be a fish.

One lazy Sunday afternoon, John and I decided to go fishing. I had always enjoyed fishing since I was a child. Fishing was exhilarating and relaxing at the same time. Fishing to me was much more than a hobby. It was a passion that took me over completely. Suddenly, my fishing rod tugged forwards and backwards. My hear started thudding in my chest. I instantly knew that I had caught something humongous. I tugged at the fishing rod, but it would not budge. I asked John to aid me in reeling in the catch. As we reeled the fishing rod, we were  bewildered by what we saw. The creature was the most marvellous I had ever seen. We were both in awe of the creature. I did not even have the words to describe it. It had no scales and its body was almost transparent. John wanted us to toss it back into the river but I decided to keep it in a jar to show my friends.

I have had numerous fishing adventures but this particular fishing excursion topped them all. The weather conditions were perfect. My father had just bought me a new fishing rod and I was very eager to try it out.We baited our fishing rods, cast them to the river and waited patiently.
