❄It is the part of the excretory system in all the living organisms..

❄It is a duct through which the urine from the bladder is travelled out ofthebody.

❄It is the last segment of urinal tack

❄In females,it only have excretory purpose.

❄But in males it is the common path for both urine and sperm.

❄There is size difference in male an female urethra.

❄Length of female urethra is 4 -5 cm which is small while males have 15 -20 cm.

❄In male the seminal fluid is also expelled through the urethra during ejaculation.

❄Once the bladder become full urine flows through urethra and leaves the body at urethral meatus which is located at the top of penis.

❄In female urethra is a part of renal system

❄The kidneys, ureters an bladder are also part of this system .

❄The renal system is responsible for producing, storing and eleminating liquid waste in the form of urine.

It is a tube that connects the Urinary Bladder to the external urine removal part in male or female. These parts are different to each other in them.

In both male and female there are a lots of differences present in structural as well as functional level.

☑️Male Urethra :----

It is composed of four segments.
Such as :--

◼️a.) Preprostatic Urethra :---
=======================
It is the first part of male urethra. It is also called Intramural Urethra. It is the part of urethra which passes almost vertically through the wall of the urinary bladder before it enters the prostate gland.

◼️b.) Prostatic Urethra :---
======================
It is the second part of male urethra and have widest urethra canal. Wide range is about 2-3cm approximately. It runs almost vertically through the prostate from it's base to it's apex, lying nearer it's anterior than it's posterior surface, in the spindle shaped.
Then finally it joins to the membranous portion.

◼️c.) Membranous Urethra :---

It is completely surrounded by the fibers of the Spincture Urethrae Membranaceae.
It is the part of male urethra which is located between the layers of urogenital diaphragm and that connects the parts of the urethra passing through the prostate gland and penis.

◼️d.) Spongy Urethra :---
=======================
It is the longest part of the male urethra about 15-16cm in length. It runs along the length of penis and travels through the corpus spongiosum.

☑️Functions of Male Urethra :---

1.) It is a common canal for urination as well as semen ejaculation.
2.) Movement of urination and semen secretions are controlled by the Spincture.
3.) It is a longer path about 20cm through the penis than the female urethra.
4.) The diameter of the Male Urethra is about 8.7 mm.
5.) Bacterial infection are less common.
6.) More affected by the passing of kidney stones.
7.) It's path is more curving.

3.) It is smaller path than in male about 4cm.
4.) It's diagram of tube is about 6mm.
5.) Female Urethra is at greater risk of bacterial infection.
