India has chain of mountains known as Himalayan mountains in north east side. in south it is surrounded by Indian ocean as well as Arabian sea. Also Thar desert lying at its south west side. Therefore it was difficult to invade upon India. Only north and north west frontiers were open so maximum invaders attacked India only from North west frontiers.
