there are three type of carbohydrates
1) monoschharides ...........
for example triose , pentodes etc.
2) oligosaccharides ..............
for example maltose, sucrose etc.
3) polysaccharides............
for example glycogen , cellulose etc.

there's are three type of carbohydrates :-
monosaccharide :-
these are the simple sugar made up of single polyhydroxy. or ketone unit.
ex :-heptoses ,tetrose
oligosaccharides:-
when 2 to 10 monosaccharide join together they form oligosaccharides.
ex:-maltose ,lactose.
3.polysaccharides :-
there are compound of sugar which are formed due to joining large number of monosaccharide.
ex :-starch , glycogen.
