The Ajanta Caves are 30 (approximately) rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state of India.

Ajanta caves are one among the famous historical and heritage sites of India that holds the very tradition of ancient India on its walls. These cases have been located at the midst of Shyadri hills in Maharashtra. The caves are known for its unique construction that is done by carving the mountain walls and for its paintings.
