The local railway station at Howrah presents a quite lively and interesting picture. There are trains running up and down, coolies carrying luggage, passengers scattered in all places- some waiting to get their tickets at the counter while others waiting at the platform for the train.

It's a noisy place full of commotion with the hustle and bustle of the passengers and the trains. Also, the food and other stalls at the platform provide a different view. However, the most painful sight is of the poor people who have no home of their own and hence, lie on the platforms.

Each day passes and things remain the same. There's the station master, the ticket checker, and all other staff trying to perform their duties to the best of their ability. Also, the stall owners, coolies, beggars, hawkers everyone tries to earn their living by being a part of this never-ending hustle.
