earlier times, human beings had no language and don't know how to write . But they had drawn some pictures in the caves which was an evidence to us for knowing how they lived . this period is known as pre-historical period .

the time from when human beings devoleped their languages is known as historical period.

Answer:the term history is derived from either the latin word historia or Greek word istoria which means learning by investigation. There are various definitions of history, some historians say that history is the story or mankind, what he has done in the past. In another sense, it records every action and every thought that man has had since his appearance. However, the written records are considered as the main source of history. There are many sources like -, tools and implement, coins and inscription, etc. But without the written records the history is incomplete.

Difference between historic and prehistoric period : prehistory literally means the part of life of humanity that preceded history. As such the word prehistory, before history is meaningless. But the archaeologist claims that it has special meaning that indicates the period before people acquire the knowledge of writing on the other side, history (or historic period) is considered when people knew the art of learning. As through the written records or written materials like religious texts, epic, dramas, poetry, etc. The history is able to get reconstructed but the prehistory is dependent on source materials which archaeologist have found from archaeological sites. It is believed by the archaeologist that in prehistoric period the people have written something about the history but on the perishable materials or maybe they are not even conscious about recording history. Thus, the prehistoric period is not Something like the historic period. To gather information about the prehistoric period is not so easy but with help if archaeological findings the possibility is being kept that that the period before history ( prehistory) does exist
