Answer:
Airport is a complex of buildings and runways for the take-off, landing and maintenance of civil aircraft. There are facilities for the passengers. It is interesting to see how many planes are tracked in correct order. One of Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is known as the airport. A few days ago we were taken from the school to see this airport.
School bus dropped us on the domestic terminal. We made a queue and the passengers entered the airport trying to come in the way. The atmosphere was very impressive. The lounge was lit brightly and was decorated with taste. The huge screens displaying the arrival and departure of the flights congratulated us at various places.
It was busy time of day. There were a large number of people carrying luggage in the bag, some were standing in the queue before the ticket counter, used to take action against some different gates. There were also many children. We heard voices coming at short intervals that announced late arrival, departure or flight, and sometimes the passengers were asked to move towards a special door for security checks.
Smart air conditioning was the counter of different airlines with men and women who were answering passenger questions, weighting their luggage and boarding passes. Gift shops in the airport were well stocked with books, toys, chocolate and knick-knacks. We came across a florist selling large varieties of flowers, a sari shop selling traditional bangles, saris, and many snack counter counters.
The categorization of snacks on display attracted our attention. Almost all things started with pizza, burgers, donuts, sandwiches, wafers, juices, tea, coffee and soft drinks. We also saw airhostesses of Jet Airways, Air Deccan and Air Sahara. A pilot also stopped to talk to us. He answered all our questions with a smile.
