I woke up and realized that today is Durga Pooja! I love Durga Pooja. Dressing up, wearing Indian jewelry and going for dandiya night and garba is my favorite part. I don’t usually do makeup but for some reason, Durga Pooja makes me feel more alive and I start feeling more Indian than usual. These festivals are really important as they bring out the Indian in you. I get crazy dancing on Durga Pooja. After all, it comes once a year! All my stress, exams and everything just seem to disappear during Durga Pooja. All functions, songs, etc are beautiful. Durga Pooja here in Pune is celebrated with crazy excitement. People sing, dance and live life. Durga sits in a tent here and we all go for the Pooja. There are also many stalls and we usually have our dinner over there. I go out with my friends and we all dress up. Its splendid. We buy our dresses some months before because of the excitement. Ahh, I love Durga Pooja. Do you?
