descriptive paragraph on my strange neighbours

Explanation:
Hi everyone, writing from Italy, sorry in advance for my bad english.
I have a strange, strange neighbour. He's about 30, quite good looking I must say, with a muscular build and long dark hair tied in a ponytail. I've always felt there was something off about him. Don't get me wrong, he seems to be a kind, gentle person who's into soccer, sports and such. My husband likes him a lot, for instance, and so does the rest of the neighbourhood. But me, I don't know. Everytime we interact with each other I can't help but feel something weird is going on, and I can't explain really what it is. He's always alone, for one. He lives alone, every now and then he brings a girl along to spend a night/evening, but that's it. No friends, nobody else. This guy goes out every night, 10:30 pm. He gets back a couple of hours later, calls his two cats who are usually hanging around on his lawn and locks himself in. The cats adore him btw, and it looks like the feeling is mutual.
One summer night, I decided it was too hot to sleep inside and just went outside to smoke a cig. In the meantime, my neighbour got back home, without noticing I was awake and just a few feet away, and calmly got to his door and opened it. His two cats just run to him loudly purring, so he sat on the doormat and started to play with them and pet them. I thought nothing of it at first, but then, in the dead silence of that night, I realized he wasn't just petting them. He was also whispering something to them, very gently, while stroking and rubbing their tummy. At first I couldn't make out what he was saying, so I walked near the fence and just focused on the sound, hoping to understand his words. I felt really stupid at first, but not for long, because I finally grasped his "speech".
"You see buddy? It was it watching you in the dark. It has always been it. They all have to die, you know? We have to cut them. Yes, yes. You will feast on them, we have to do it."
