The infamous Jallianwala bagh incident took place on 14th April. People from villages in Amritsar and outside came to celebrate Basakhi. Most of people weren't knowing about the rowlatt act imposed by the British Government. During the celebrations,General Dyer along with armed man entered the place,closed the one and only entrance and ordered armed man to openly fire on the crowd. This resulted in resentment and mass agitation in the whole india. After this infamous incident, General Dyer said," The main motive behind firing was making people aware the strength of British government."
