Yes bcoz due to scorching sun the sand becomes hot and the temperature rise up but at the night as there is no light of sun the sand don't become hot and the temperature there is cold...

because it has very little plant life .this leads to the belief that there are not enough plants and trees to observe the sunlight and retain heat .can the sun rays are almost vertical at the equator and are responsible for greater receipt of insolation .due to long nights there is equally during the nights .
