◆ Hydrotropism -

• Hydrotropism is growth of a plant part towards and in response to water source.
• It is irreversible movement.
• It occurs in specific direction.
• It occurs as a result of cell division.
• When part of plant grows towards the water stimulus, it is positive hydrotropism.
• When part of plant grows away from the water stimulus, it is negative hydrotropism.

# Experiment -

• Take two beakers and connect them with filter paper bridge.
• Attach few germinating seeds in filter paper bridge and provide moisture.
• Germinating seeds grow towards water.
