Hydrotropism can be demonstrated with any germinating seedlings which are allowed to grow on ground. The soil around the roots is separated by a polythene partition. The left side is kept moist and the right side dry.The radical at first grows in a downward direction and after sometime the roots bend towards the moist soil. This is due to movement of germinating roots towards water
