Material Required

❏ A beaker

❏A stem with a white flower or a celery stem

❏Red or any food colour

❏Water

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Procedure

❏Fill 3/4th of the beaker with water

❏Add 10 - 20 drops of red food colour to the Water.

❏Place a celery stem in the beaker and keep it aside for 4 to 5 hours.

❏After 5 hours, cut the stem diangonally and observe if there is a change in the colour of the stem.

Observation

❏Red colour can be seen inside the stem.
