Desirable outcomes of sustainable development

Lesser exploitation of natural resources:

The main purpose of the need for sustainable development is to  use the resources that we have today optimally and save it as it is today for the future generations. if we use the natural resources optimally then the resources will have time to  heal and get back to its original luster and hence would be saved for the future generations but if sustainable development is not implemented all of the resources can get used up.

Lesser pollution:

If the natural resources are used optimally then sustainable development shall take place since the resources are being used thoughtfully hence the pollution that is generated due to the use of natural resources to create something man made would be reduced and nature will have its time to  rejuvenate.
