mitochondria is known as the power house of the cell .The mitochondria are found in eukaryotic cells only and missing in prokaryotic cells.THE MITOCHONDRIA PERFORM THE WORK OF GENERATING ENERGY REQUIRED BY THE CELLS FOR THIS REASON THEY ARE CALLED POWER HOUSE OF THE CELL.The number of mitochondria is different types of cells of an organism . The cell needed more energy needed more number of mitochondria.
