Solution:

Number of slices finished can be found by finding the 75% of the total slices and then subtracting the value from the total number of slices i.e. 12.

Number of slices of pizza eaten:

$12\times \dfrac{75}{100} = 12\times \dfrac{3}{4} = 9$

Number of slices of pizza left = Total slices - Number of slices of pizza eaten = 12 - 9 = 3

OR

we can directly find (100-75)% = 25% of the total 12 slices to find the remaining slices.

Number of slices left = 25% of 12

$12\times \dfrac{25}{100} = 12\times \dfrac{1}{4} = \bold{3}$
