Despite the declining trend of the growth rate, the population of India is increasing at a faster rate because -

• The growth rate is declining for the Indian population due to successful campaigning of the over-population awareness.

• But,the existing base population is still extremely high in the India due to the previously increased population.

• Now,in the each passing year if the normal population increase takes place the allover population gets increased at a very high rate due to the high amount of base population.

• That's why the Indian population is still increasing in a very fast rate.
