In our day to day life plastic has found its way in almost everything. From carry bags to containers , everything is made of plastics. But despite its use in everything, its disposal has created a lot of environmental and health hazards.

By simply burying plastics underground it being water repellent, it can stop the water flow into ground thereby making the soil infertile. Due to this infertility of soil vegetation in that area stops thereby causing soil erosion. When it is thrown away it reacts with water and can make toxic chemicals that are harmful for humans and animals.

when it is burnt it produces very toxic gases like sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide which are poisonous for human beings if inhaled directly.

If it is thrown away in water it creates very polluted habitat for fishes and other water creatures. As these creatures depend upon water they become infected and their consumption can be fatal for human beings.
