Answer:heavy duties were imposed on Indian silk and cotton textiles in Britain.on the contrary , British goods were ported in India at a nominal rate . Thus, the art of weaving and spinning which involved a number of artisans,got extinct.also, Indian market cannot compete with the British market in India and this results in unemployment of the Indians.
