These tissues are all made up of one tyoe of cell.
Types :
1. Parenchyma :
It's widely distributed in plants body such as stem, roots, leaves, flowers and fruits.
Function:
a. Its main function is to store and assimilate food.
b. It stores waste products of plants.
2. Collenchyma :
A plant supportive tissue consisting of thick-walled and thick cornered elongated cells .
Function :
a. It gives tensile strength.
b. It allows easy bending to leaf, stem without breaking it.
3. Sclerenchyma :
Support cells of plants whose thick walls become impregnated with ligin.
Function :
a. It gives strength, rigidity, flexibility, and elasticity to the plant body.
b. It's protective in function.
