Hard water :-
1)The water which doesn't dissolves soaps and lather is not formed in it is called hard water.
2)It contains Magnesium and calcium salt which react with soap to form scum this scum is insoluble in water and is precipitate.
3)Hard water is prepared by adding calcium sulphate and magnesium chloride.
4)We can get hard water naturally which is ground water as well as river water.
5)If cloth has to be cleaned in hard water we must use detergents.
Soft water :-
1)The water that can dissolve soap solution in it and lather is formed is called soft water.
2)It does not contain magnesium or calcium salt due to which cloth gets easily cleaned.
