detailed information about frictional force static for sliding friction rolling friction❤❤❤
Answers
Answer:
Static Friction: The friction which opposes the motion of an object till a certain limit of force is called Static Friction. For Example: Pushing a sofa with 1 finger is not possible as the force supplied by 1 finger is insufficient. Therefore when we push with both the hands we can see the sofa moving. Hence the force which keeps an object at rest or static until a certain limit of force is Static Friction.
Sliding Friction: Whenever an object is placed in a slanting manner, it doesn't start moving immediately. It remains at static position and starts to move at some inclined angle. During that time, it doesn't fall immediately. It slowly moves and increases it's speed. This gradual increase of speed is caused by a friction called Sliding Friction.
Rolling Friction: Whenever you push a trolley with wheels, it moves and stops after a point. This is due to the friction present between the wheels and the floor. This friction is called rolling friction which acts only on objects that can roll or of any spherical shape.
