Cullenia exarillata is an ancient species of tree which is found in the southern western ghats of India. Its prickly fruit looks like miniature jack-fruits with much larger spines. All except one primate eats it, and it is only the dispersal agent for this species. The primate can however be found in north of the tree's range, into Central Karnataka. Lion-tailed macaque, charismatic primate of this with a back coat and grey hair.
