researchers use modern and innovative approaches for the early detection of plant pathogens and insects, allowing growers to manage the spread of disease and pests and minimising the need for traditional chemical controls. Detection methods include:
Virus testing
Plant disease diagnostic technology including DNA and ELISA assays
Molecular biology to identify new species and new strains
Host range testing for pest risk assessment.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other mapping tools are also used to model insect distribution, dispersal and spread.

1. Typhoid - This disease is caused by a bacteria. The name of that bacteria is Salmonella typhi. This disease can detected by a test known as Widal Test.
2. Malaria - This disease happens through the bite of a mosquito which is. female. Female mosquitoes carries a protozoa named Plasmodium which causes malaria.
