The oil from the groundnut seed can be extracted through using different techniques
1) The mechanical method i.e screw press method
2) Solvent extraction method i.e the soxhlet extraction
3) The supercritical fluid extraction.
Normally the mechanical method is used for the extraction of oil from the groundnut. The prepared , pressed seeds are passed through the mechanical screw press. The difference between weight of seeds and extracted oil are calculated and % of oil extracted can be calculated as follows (weight of oil/weight of sample)*100.
Also depending on the type of seeds used and extraction method the percentage of oil extracted can be varied.

Explanation:
To determine the mass percentage of oil from the oil seeds, divide the second weight by the first weight and multiply the result by 100. In other words, the mass percentage will be Y/X * 100
