Answer :-

No. of wooden blocks = 360 blocks.

Step-by-step explanation

To Find :-

  • The number of wooden cubic blocks of side 10cm.

Solution

Given that,

Side of wooden cube = 10cm.

Dimensions of cuboid wood = 1.5m by 1.2m by 0.2m

Converting 10cm to metre,

→ 10cm

→ [10/100]m

→ 0.1m

As we know that,

  • Volume of cube = (a)³ cubic units
  • Volume of cuboid = lbh cubic units,

Where,

a = side of cube

l = length

b = breadth

h = height.

METHOD NO. 1 :-

Finding the volume of cube and cuboid :-

Volume of cubic block :-

→ (a)³

→ (0.1m)³

→ 0.001m³

Volume of cuboid block :-

→ lbh

→ 1.5m*1.2*0.2m

→ 0.36m³

According the question,

Number of blocks = Volume of cuboid/Volume of cube,

→ 0.36/0.001

→ 360

Hence, Number of blocks is 360.

METHOD NO. 2 :-

Number of blocks = Volume of cuboid/Volume of cube,

→ Volume of cuboid/Volume of cube

→ (lbh)/(a)³

→ (1.5*1.2*0.2)/(0.1)³

→ 0.36/0.001

→ 360

Thus, The total number of blocks = 360.
